NSW:RSL voters cheated by leaders: Brown
SYDNEY, Aug 12 AAP - Greens Leader Bob Brown says western Sydney voters were short-changed
at Wednesday's night's community forum, with little focus on big issues such as climate
change.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott were questioned by 200
undecided voters at the Rooty Hill RSL, in a forum organised by News Ltd and broadcast
on Sky News.
But while Mr Abbott has been widely declared the winner of the exchange, Senator Brown
says the audience was "short-changed" by the two leaders.
"Tony and Julia weren't able to commit to a national dental health care system," Senator
Brown told reporters.
"There was really no plan for tackling climate change - a lot I'd have been talking about.
"Being a Blacktown boy, I wished I'd been there."
